Hooray for old friends!

It’s midnight and I need to go to bed, so I’ll make this short. Hooray for old friends!

Last night I went out to dinner with Marni–a former student and friend of mine from the Durango days. She is here on vacation–visiting a more persuasive friend–and we had burgers and beers last night. It was great to catch up and a total time warp.

While we were at the bar, I ran into two other friends that I rarely see. Hooray! for running into people in a city of 5 million!

Tonight I got an email from my friend Erika who fell off the face of the planet two years ago. I emailed her and said CALL ME! and she did! We just wrapped up a two hour phone marathon.

And I IMed more with Shai tonight. A friend from London who is moving back to Israel on Sunday, which means that I have a friend in Israel and that I can go to Israel alone! Hooray! (and we also clarified what Leah he was IMing with, because there was some confusion last week.)

So connections galore as the jewish year ends and we look forward to the High Holy days.

And bed, cause it is time to go to bed. More tomorrow, promise.
