Jewish Baby

Tonight at temple there was a new baby there for the first time. She is four months old and her name is Leah. I swear I caught her eye during the service. She was beautiful with chubby cheeks and sparkling eyes.

Then I mentioned it to a friend who said, “How long have you been going to temple?”

Four months.

“Interesting mirror, huh?”

Tonight I finished my fourth month of going to temple–easy to calculate, since I started on Christmas Eve. And there was a four month old baby named Leah there to celebrate with me. She had her first kiddush, not me, the real baby Leah.
