To anyone who thought, “How can a person who manages an ice cream parlor afford a mortgage?” The answer turns out to be, “oops, I can’t.”

So I had to give notice at the shop yesterday and am now on the market.

It has been a hard decision, as I love, love, love my job. But the combination on not quite enough money with long hours and exhaustion… I need to pay the bills and write a novel.
