I met a good friend at Metropolis this morning for coffee and a chat. It was a wonderful latte–I’m convinced they have the best baristas in the city. The only other place that does it better is Torre Fazione at Washington and Wells in the loop. But for american baristas and a home roasted bean, it has to be Metropolis on Granville and Winthrop.
After enjoying our coffee, we walked down to my condo. She hadn’t seen it yet and I wanted to show it off. Also to introduce her to Spidey. She volunteers at a shelter and is going to help me find a new cat for Spidey to play with. He needs a roommate.
Then we went over to Hollywood beach to get some sun and wait for her husband to pick her up. All in all it was a great morning. The afternoon might include a trip to the movies–Monster in Law, maybe?
