I promised a friend and colleague that I would re-link to a post I wrote for my conversion ceremony. It’s a pretty good what to expect at a synagogue for non-Jews . I really appreciate how open my non-Jewish friends and family are to celebrating with me and coming to services.
I’ve also written a little letter that you can read when you get there, I’m headed to Kinko’s this afternoon to make copies (and get a manicure.)
P.S. Last shabbat I didn’t turn my phone off. It was incredibly embarassing. I pressed the off button too long and it reset instead of turning off. I promise you, you will want to have it turned off.
