I got up this morning and called my mentee to triple check we were still going to the zoo. I called her early this week and yesterday, but today we were suddenly not going. Bummer. I was looking forward to hitting the Lincoln Park Zoo, but it is not something I want to do without her.
Instead, I start walking around the neighborhood and go to a couple garage sales. I picked up a copy of The Book of Knowledge and a griddle. Woo Hoo! I am very excited about the griddle. My parents have a griddle and it is great for making loads of grilled cheese sandwiches. I can make 6 at a time now.
