Tonight I am forcing myself out the door. I am going to go to a JCC event–Havdalah on the Lake. I’m going alone, as I don’t have single, jewish girlfriends to go with me. My guy friends aren’t of the ilk to go and if they were, I still wouldn’t take them, becaue then I wouldn’t look single.
I’m nervous and scared and that is why I’m forcing myself to go.
