Israel Trip!!!!

For as much as I’ve been worried about Ronnie while he’s in Israel this week, it hasn’t stopped me from fantasizing about my own trip after I convert. Once in class, my Rabbi made a comment about how the New Year of the Trees is celebrated in February. (Okay, okay it is really the 15th of Shevat or Tu B’Shevat) He said that nowhere outside of Isreal are the trees blooming and talked about how beautiful Almond Trees in bloom are.

That was when I decided that a Shevat trip to Israel was in order. Tonight I look in the announcements and VOILA! My Rabbi is leading a pilgramage to Israel in February!! That means I could possibly go to Israel this February–a couple months after my conversion and I’ll be there while the almond trees are blooming.

I’m so excited.
