I hate to admit it, but the hullabaloo over the second generation iPhone is maddening to me. I do not understand waiting in line for a phone. I have plenty of friends waiting in line, but I don’t get it. (And I’m woman enough to admit that my cynicism might be because I’m not in a place where buying an iPhone makes sense for me. Maybe this is sour grapes, but I don’t think it really is.)
Waiting in line for books and movies I understand (to some degree) because you want to avoid spoilers. You don’t want to hear the twist at the end of the story from a friend or a blog, so you go see it early.
