I’m in Austin for SXSW. Thanks to Mashable for the badge – remember when I wore my @leahjones shirt to a Mashable party in San Francisco? Well, it paid off and now I’m here for the first time ever.
I’d like to say… WOO HOO!!! I’m finally at SXSW!!! WOOO HOOOO!!!!
Ahem.
Composure, Jones.
What am I doing here and how is Natiiv Arts & Media involved with SXSW this year?

First of all, Natiiv Arts & Media is a proud sponsor of the documentary Life in Perpetual Beta that is being produced, directed, created, edited by the amazing Melissa Pierce. Natiiv picked up her plane ticket so she could do a ton of interviews and participate in her Core Conversation – Is The Planned Life Even Worth Living Anymore? Check it out on Saturday the 14th at 5PM in Hilton Room 5C.

On the music side of things, I’m tickled that a few of the musicians I work with will be here after I take off. Make sure to catch up with Y-Love , Ste
reo Sinai and Kosha Dillz if you are in town.

I hope that they will get involved in a contest that Natiiv Arts & Media is sponsoring with Webb Change and Sun Studios. Webb Change is a site that lets you split a limited number of votes between websites and then it populates a search engine. For SXSW Music, the guys are building a special site with each of the 1100 bands involved. You’ll be able to log-in and vote for your favorite bands by giving them coins.
The competition starts on Monday March 16, 2009 at 5:00 PM (CST). The competition will end at 12:00 PM (CST) Monday 23, 2009 and t
he winners will be posted immediately at 12:01 PM (CST) Monday 23, 2009. The winner will be determined by the band that has received the most votes at the end of the competition.
The band that gets the most coins at the end of the festival will win a prize package that includes four hours of studio time at the legendary Sun Studios, a coaching session with Natiiv Arts & Media and 3 months subscription to the client only portion of Natiiv.com, and advertisting on Webb Change.

Saturday afternoon, from 1 to 4 PM, I’ll be doing a workshop for theaters in Austin with the Austin Circle of Theaters. Sounds like I might even be coming back to Austin to do another workshop in the future. Keep your ears open for more information.

Best way to find me while I’m here? Twitter. Hands down, it’s gonna be Twitter.
