Orthodox Shabbat Question

I just went to the restroom, flushed the toilet and turned off the light. Then it occured to me–do observant jews flush the toilet on Shabbat? I guess I’ll have to wait until Sunday for an answer, but can someone answer this.

And yes, I realize that writing this and turning the light on/off are not Kosher for shabbat–but toilet flushing? There was no toilet flushing during the building of the temple and that is how work is defined….
