This weekend I was thinking about London and Chicago and made a list of all the things I like about Chicago. I thought I would share them with everyone.

The “El” The Buses The shop (Sweet Occasions and More) The customers at the shop. My cat. The grid. My roommate. My writing class. My writing classmates, Ashqi, Seth, and Ruby. Deb and Billy. My writing teacher, Kim Clark. Being an easy drive to my parent’s house. Being an amtrak trip from my sister’s house. Cathy and Scott. Sunday Brunch at Leo’s or Pauline’s or Le Sabre. The boys of stand-up comedy. Mollie. Running into people. My bald hairdresser Ernie, who almost remembers me. Commuting to the Loop. Chicago Festivals. The Picasso. Access to two decent airports by public transportation. Going to “The Jewel.” The Cubs. The Bears. Hell, even the Sox. Hardwood floors. NPR on saturday mornings. Simply Rays. The Laundromat on the block. Siam Country and J.P.

The list could go on and on, but you get the picture.
