I have never in my life had more forms at my side at tax time. W-2s, 1099s, 1098s, charitable contributions. Oy! Lucky for me, work provides us with Turbo Tax–so I’m nearly done and it took less than an hour. I couldn’t fall asleep last night, worrying about money. I don’t know why, I’m really doing okay. I’ve been a little on the SPEND SPEND SPEND side this month and am disappointed with myself for that.
At least my credit card has been in the freezer and I was spending real money. I would rather have less savings right now than more debt. The problem is that I transfered money to pay for my Israel trip the day I signed up and the Federation still hasn’t made the charge to my debit card. So I dipped into it a little, a little more, a little more. Oops.
I’m working on my relationship with money, what can I say. I pay my mortgage and other bills on time. My credit is good. This year I even was able to itemize. And as soon as I get my Student Loan interest information, I will be able to file my return. Hooray!
