TERRE HAUTE HOUSE DRAWING BY LOCAL ARTIST NOW AVAILABLE

Terre Haute, Indiana, February 1, 2007

Like many local residents, Larry Jones was sad to see the Terre Haute House meet a wrecking ball last year. To memorialize the famed community cornerstone, the local artist created a pencil drawing of the building and has made it available for purchase.

“It started as a Christmas present for my family. Every year I do an art project and I make enough for my wife, children and extended family. This year instead of glass or screen-printing, I wanted to share the Terre Haute House with them. So I did the drawing and then made prints to give as gifts.”

Jones continued, “Everyone loves the drawing. My uncle told us stories about his honeymoon at the Terre Haute House! I never knew that and wouldn’t have if it wasn’t for the drawing.”

Knowing that his uncle, Bob Proctor of Indianapolis, isn’t the only person with a story about the Terre Haute House, Jones decided to make additional prints available at local businesses. The print can be seen and ordered at
