Thanks Uptown Bikes

Looks like the staff of Uptown Bikes (Leland and Broadway) might have made a biker out of me. I rode away this afternoon on my Schwinn Varsity. New seat, new handlebars, new wires and brakes. Most of the surface rust is long gone and I have a smooth riding, bullet proof, chicago legend of a bike.

My bike wasn’t supposed to be done until Tuesday and I rode it home this afternoon. Less than 24 hours after I dropped it off. Before I rode away, the seat and handlebars were adjusted, but they made a total change. It is a new bike, amazing.

Thanks again to Uptown Bikes. They get my vote–helpful, professional, did not take advantage of my bike ignorance, did not push me into expensive upgrades. They know how to turn an El Girl into a Bike Girl, I’m pretty darn sure I’ll be on this bike every day this summer. Hooray!
