I’m pretending that I know how to cook tonight. I am making Turkey Meatloaf. Heavy on the onions, light on the turkey. Lucky for me, my roommate was in the kitchen. His mom used to make Meatloaf every sunday night and he paid attention to what she did. Unlike me.
My mom also made meatloaf regularly, but I never paid attention. Did I know about the egg? Not sure.
In a big bowl I mixed:
1 lb of ground turkey breast. 1/2 spanish onion chopped 2 cloves of galic smooshed Progresso Italian Style Bread Crumbs (left over from my breaded porkchop days. Damn I miss pork.) 1 egg 3 mushrooms chopped salt, pepper, lawry’s lemon pepper seasoning, a little olive oil.
I mushed it all together, set the oven at 345 or so (my dial doesn’t have numbers.), put it into a small pan and put it in. Now I’m just waiting to see if something edible comes out of the oven. Regardless, I have to eat this all week… so I hope it doesn’t suck.
